Hi everyone, I am Rosina Rodriguez, a homeschooling mum of three boys from Adelaide, Australia.

Although I have been writing for many years, it was only recently that I decided to self-publish and share the stories that are especially dear to me. I have been fortunate to work the immensely talented artist David Anthony Condon on The Mother and the Kings, whose instinct and understanding have turned this into a true collaboration—where words and illustrations find their perfect harmony.

To me, children’s picture books are wonderful works of art. My love of them began while working in primary school libraries across Adelaide, and since becoming a mother, I have treasured the chance to share that love with my own boys—those quiet, precious moments curled up together with a book.
I see picture books as a child’s first introduction to poetry and art, which is why I believe they must be beautiful.

I am so happy that this book has been brought to life, and am so thankful for all the support I have received in the making of it.
